Education & Outreach
Inspiring the audiences of tomorrow and enlightening the listeners of today, The Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia provides high-quality classical music experiences to our existing audiences while making classical music as accessible as possible to everybody, from novice to expert, youth to older patrons, from Center City and beyond.
Welcome! There are many educational programs at The Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia and we have something for everyone, with many new offerings! Please contact Jeanette Honig Grafman, Director of Orchestra Operations and Educational Outreach at 215.545.5451 x24 or via email.
Classical Conversations — The Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia continues our wildly popular post-concert program on Sundays. Please join our Music Director, Conductor Laureate, Executive Director and/or our guest artists in the Perelman Theater for an informal and informative question and answer session following the matinée.
Beyond the Baton — Back by popular demand, join Music Director Dirk Brossé as he offers a taste of music from the classical world and more. Examine the scores of Jonathan Leshnoff's Cello Concerto before it premieres on March 3rd and other surprise works through the eyes of the Maestro in a roundtable discussion over a light brunch. Find out how he brings the music from the page to the stage! This intimate endeavor takes place prior to the Sunday performances conducted by Maestro Brossé at the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts. Cost for this program is $40 per person, which includes enrollment, a light brunch and your very own copy of the score to keep. For more information about this exciting opportunity, contact Jeanette Honig Grafman, Director of Orchestra Operations and Educational Outreach at 215.545.5451 x24 or via email. Space is limited.
Program Notes — Be an informed listener! Check out the program notes before arriving to The Kimmel Center. Program Notes are listed under each event.
