Chamber Orchestra Launches New Subscriber Benefit

November 18, 2004

The Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia launched a new subscriber benefit with the 2004-2005 Concert Season. Subscribers are offered a special prix fixe menu at local area restaurants for each of our ten Sunday and Monday concert pairs.

Building upon the Philadelphia Restaurant Week $30 prix fixe menu concept, The Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia has arranged similar deals for subscribers to the Chamber Orchestra 2004-2005 season. The deals are announced to subscribers in the form of a first class postcard sent to them the weekend prior to the performances.

The season opened in September with a $30 prix fixe offer to the Varalli Restaurants at Broad & Locust.

The October performances was accompanied by a split offer, with the Kimmel Center's Cadence restaurant extending a $19 prix fixe brunch for the Sunday matinee and Toto's Restaurant across from the Academy of Music on Locust Street offering a $30 prix fixe menu.

November 7 & 8 were paired with a $30 prix fixe offer at Trattoria Prima Donna on Spruce Street west of 15th. The restaurant reported a heavy increase in traffic on Monday night and a very positive response on Sunday afternoon.

November 21 & 22 will be another split offer. Ernesto's Restaurant on Spruce west of 15th offers a free cup of soup with the purchase of any Brunch entrée or appetizer. Cadence offers a $30 prix fixe menu on Monday night.

The All-Mozart program on December 5 & 6 will feature a prix fixe offer from Roy's "Hawaiian Fusion" Restaurant at 15th & Sansom.

Additional offers will be developed for the 2005 performances, with some of the restaurants who have previously participated expressing an interest in extending additional offers to our subscribers.

A resident company of The Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts, The Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia performs 10 concert pairs from September through June in the intimate 600-seat Perelman Theater. Tickets ($20-$75) are available through TicketPhiladelphia at 215-893-1999 or online at www.chamberorchestra.org.
